About Coupons

Coupons allow corporate accounts to cover transaction fees on behalf of end users. A coupon is a one-time, fee-limited code issued by the server using the Spender API key. When a user broadcasts a transaction with a coupon attached, Transatron covers the required resources and charges the coupon. Any unused portion of the coupon limit is automatically refunded to the corporate account.

Coupons are particularly useful for non-custodial wallet integrations where the service provider wants to subsidize transaction fees without handling user private keys. For example, a wallet may have its own fee model for USDT transfers — charging users via a card payment, deducting from a bonus balance, or applying a flat fee — while using coupons behind the scenes to cover the actual TRON network costs.
